Wez
Hey All, Went to blackbushe car auctions today for a look around to see what it was all about, it would seem you can pick up some pretty good bargins. Has anyone purchased a car like this before?
JustGav
Never been, I actually fancy going and Blackbushe is my local place as well... Might have to go... From what I've heard it is a bit hit and miss... You either got a good deal or you get a shed..

JustGav
Supra meet one day at blackbushe?
Wez
They have different days for different types of auctions, today was ex hire cars etc so lots of mercs, audi and BMWs. Saw a nice black fully loaded BMW 325D Sport go for £3200. They have a no reserve day and also a non runner day which I guess would have some real bargin basement motors. Homer
Wez, is there estate stuff going there ultra cheap? Sub £300 range? Just after sh*ter...
Wez
Didnt see anything like that today, I think that might be on the no reserve day. I know someone who is selling a running calibra with TAX and MOT for about £200 if you really need something.

toyotasuprauk
I used to go to this with someone that was in the trade about five years ago now when I had a bit of time. Lots of ex hire/company cars etc go through so there can be lots of good cars. Like all auctions you need to be careful and know a bit about cars but it’s probably safer than buying privately. Most of the forecourts in a 100 mile radius probably get there cars from there, dealers everywhere. http://www.british-car-auctions.co.uk/ If you’re local it’s at least worth a look. Jake
I've been a few times with a mate. Lots of well dodgy stuff there. You can get a quite good deal but you have to really know your stuff. A lot of the crowd is traders that are there bidding up their own stuff.
lambertpig
ive had some great bargins at auction. i think its best to stay away from rarer stuff they tend to be there for a reason. ex fleet vectras and ford focus are ideal.keep your head on and go for a minter with low miles and you cant go wrong
