Steering Lock + Towing = ?

Ouch...

Reminds me of the day I towed my dads Citroen through Bath where he had broken down.

The steering was OK but the first time I braked - he didn’t (couldn‘t) !

The first hit was quite a shock but then he rebounded away and the rope stretched and then pulled him back again !

After he had hit me about four times we both came to a stop. His car was not too bad, but mine was not very pretty, plus it was my posh new company Cortina !

Happy days... :)

Ha ha ha, silly feckers :D

I was towing a mates focus and he let the rope go slack at some lights, I didnt realise and pulled away and then BANG, I pulled over and it had ripped my metal towing eye clean off the chassis and smashed through his bumper and wheel lining.

He was lucky it didnt go through the window and kill him, had to wrap it around a bit of axle to get him home :)

Actually, this was the original post, but DamonC reposted it ;)

Indeed but I'm waiting for the evidence from the gent above so that I can brand him a retard.

I can't view the vid in the link DamonC posted as it's on a blocked site - is it the short or full version?

In the longer one I'm amazed they got away with it for as long as they did, a few near misses on overtakes etc
