MONKEYmark
lol in my trusty escort with more dents than a denty thing.and it has a crack on windscreen like size of a horse shoe.very fine crack. i went to J32 shopping center up at xscape other day and when i got back to car Autoglass had been round carpark checking windows.they left me a printed note under wiper. it said We`ve checked your wind screen and its chipped free repair here today they crossed out CHIPPED and FREE and left me a number to get it replaced lol waste of time as i will scrap it when tax runs out. i hate that spam in your face advertising.they only had to look at car as to see i really dont need a new window.surely a new window would cost more than cars worth lol what i used to do when you got say a credit card statement with a letter full of spam junk mail i would rip it up in bits and put in return envelope inside and post it back to them
Rob
A guy I used to work with had to go to his PO to pick up a parcel that was described as "too big for letterbox". It was a bundle of letters held in an elastic band.
Jake
It's a no-brainer. I would much rather pop round next door and collect a parcel than have to go out again and schlep down to the Post Office. But I get on with my neighbours
Bob
My neighbour's great - he's an old chap so he's at home most of the day, so he enjoys the banter with the delivery guys. He always keeps an eye out for me getting home and pops straight round with it. I almost feel sorry for the couriers who won't leave parcels with him, as he also enjoys arguing with them

But I get on with my neighbours A no-brainer for you but in my case they don't leave them next door, they leave them at a house on an adjacent road, it overlooks mine but I have to wander past a few more friendly neighbours to reach it. The sorting office is minutes from my house, I pass it each day and it has small queues and good parking - for me that option is the no brainer, especially when valuable goods are concerned. Still it's better than Screwfix, they put my last order in the wheelie bin.... on bin day (luckily I got the note through the door before they came to empty it!) SupraAyf
I just got back at 0850hrs this morning and what should be on the door mat but a Royal Mail 'Sorry you were out' card. The time on the card is 0850 - work that one out:rolleyes: They didn't even knock on the neighbours who were in and now I have to wait 24hrs - which is great as we leave home tonight for the weekend so I won't get it until Monday.
