michael
Does this annoy you? I'm fed up with delivery companies leaving expensive items with neighbours that I don't know. What's wrong with a simple card to say it's at a local depot so I can collect it 24/7?
Thorin
Yes. What also annoys me is that we seem to be getting a lot of Avon/Bettaware type brochures being posted through our door lately. The latest one has a note with it to say... "We will be collecting the brochures on monday, to save us disturbing you please leave out on your doorstep." No sorry, I'm binning it. To save disturbing us stop bloody posting unsolicted mail!

tbourner
I wish my postman would leave it with a neighbour, I don't have time to drive to the bleedin PO and wait in a queue for 30 minutes to get my stuff!!!
sdavies
Too feckin right! Most delivery companies (including Royal mail) need a kick up the arse for their erratic delivery policies. Recorded delivery mail tucked behind my bin or chucked over the back gate one day, then hoofed out of bed 8:30am Saturday morning to sign for something unimportant!!! Some days gets posted next door, some days it gets left at post office. And last year on 4 different occasions I had failed deliveries without even their usual "we tried to deliver" notes!!! I don't know what the item is or where it's come from, I never specify an alternative delivery arrangement though, bring it me, take it to a depot or send it back to the supplier, either way don't let an unknown element get involved! Parcelforce have left something with my neighbour, the neighbour who isn't home when I am, the odd one that people don't make eye-contact with, the one that stands in dark rooms gazing at you when you go out to the garage.... in fact I wouldn't be shocked if it was a forged delivery slip and they are using this method to bring in their victims... Plus if you are into recycling you have to take the bag off and put it in the bin and then the book in the green bin!! Why do so many people have issues with placing it back outside - it's not bloody difficult is it!!!!

A friend was into all that nonsense, those brochures cost them a decent amount each time, plus plastic bags and so on... they get the hint eventually. Scoboblio
"We will be collecting the brochures on monday, to save us disturbing you please leave out on your doorstep." That's one of my pet hates. If they want it back, they shouldn't have posted it unsolicited through my f*****g letterbox. It's very annoying when you work shifts and the bastards wake you up knocking because you've forgotten About the parcels, I'd rather it was left with neighbours, but only because it's hard to get parked near our post office when picking a parcel up. toyotasuprauk
I'd much prefer them to leave my parcels with a neighbour as it’s easier than going to collect or having to arrange another delivery. Then again I have good neighbours.

DaveK
Be grateful if they actually leave a card saying it's with a neighbour. I ordered something just before going away at new year. I was pretty surprised when I got back 5 days later that there was no record of them trying to deliver it. Two days later, a neighbour knocked on the door and handed the parcel over, saying the post office had tried to deliver it the day I left. RedM
Michael, I told you you should have moved around here. The village shop/post office takes everything in. Four Eagle F1s? No probs.
