GeordieSteve
I truly am sorry to be honest. Reason I said no deposit would be fine as I was more than happy to hold it back. It's just cost me.... £250 to get the car back from mkivstore £80 to get my car to the new garage £300 for a battery (!!!) £209 for a gauge £400 for various parts that I need for my build £??? coming next week for labor on the build It just all came at once and sadly I had to let a member down... for that I apologise. I even offered to search for him and keep him up to date if I found any others for sale. Bad timing sadly and I've lost £50 on the deal. Sadly Encor can't afford to pay me now and I can't afford not to be paid now

Guest EncoreWRC
I have been hit with £3500 in the last week, got 4 kids to feed, a missus and a house - hard life innit steve! I offered a deposit and if you sold for less you should have asked. It was just the full amount that I could not have afforded straight away. I have most of the cash, just short of a bit - when a sales agreed - stick to it or this kind of thread is bound to happen. Still pissed off, still leaving the site but I have found a few good people on here Appologies are not good enough - the goods spea for everything as a seller, not excuses! Cheers and good bye Ian

Cheers and good bye Ian Well if your bills are that bad, perhaps he has done you a favour by saving you money? You are going OTT, he has explained, a reasonable explanation in my opinion. Until you have handed over the cash then the deal isn't actually done. Take a break from the forum and see how you feel in a few days. Life's too short. I also didn't claim I did Look mate your going a little OTT here. Oh and Michael I'm confused about what you mean mate? I'm just having the car put back together. I can afford to do it but as you know, this is a 6 week month and it's just been xmas. Needless to say that £400 would be greatly appreciated in my pocket at this time
KaoriFan
it is a difficult situation as we are all members of a club, it's not like buying from a stranger. so things can get messy afterwards as we know each other. i am not talking about either of the parties involved here, this is how i feel though on this kind of thing. my word is important to me, and i won't break it. if i agree to sell or buy something, then that's what happens. Selling: if i was selling, then the price i said is the price that is paid, i won't sell to someone who offers more after a deal is agreed. no reneging after the deal is agreed. now, if i had unexpected cash flow problems, thats my problem, not the person buying. before Christmas i booked the Supra in (this week) for fitting of Kenwood satnav and DVD system, along with some interior work for a fixed sum. i could live with this figure, just. Last week i was out and got a flat tyre, and other 3 were low on tread, so shelled 700+ for new tyres etc. i also bought lots of other things, and hadn't figured on the extra 700+, but thats my worry, i haven't backed out of anything else. Buying: if i was buying something, i would not be impressed if someone backed out of a deal, saying they had problems with cashflow, or someone had offered higher figure. if time was agreed to settle payment, but the sellers plans had changed, i would expect them to see if i could pay now, or at least something quickly. along the lines of can you pay half this week and half next. then everyone is happy whole point is everything is based on trust, and you never know today you do something good for someone, and one day it will get returned. finally, modding a car is not a priority in life, it is a luxury, the Supra is a wonderful car even straight from factory. KaoriFan
Bear in mind he also had cash flow problems and couldn't afford to pay me for around 3 weeks I can understand this makes it difficult for both parties, things can go wrong even when you have best intentions of trying to sort something out for benefit of both parties. that's why i wasn't mentioning this in my posting. just a general thing. Guest EncoreWRC
And I have my priorities right, thats why I said to wait - not that I would not or could not pay. Hence why I have just gone out and bought another anyway. If thats the end of the matter I will tie up loose ends and leave the site. Cheers for a good time guys but time to move on I think. Guest EncoreWRC
Sorry Rob - when members cant communicate then I can't be bothered. Watch this space for my new Supra site I am having designed. I can then step on occassions like this when I feel the need.... Sorry - still say that all steve should have done is ask me for the cash sooner - that would have stopped all this.....he would have had his mony and I would have saved £50. All win situation could have been acheived! Cheers

Cheers hi, i know we have never talked before, but like Rob said, don't leave the forum. there are more benefits to be gained from remaining here, the friendship that is made over time, is not worth giving up for this one sad episode. This seems to be happening more and more recently. if you can, just take some time to think this through as there are more positives than negatives here. I really hope you reconsider leaving, take a breather if you need to but don't give it up. i don't know what else to say, but hope you stay. ja ne Ian

GeordieSteve
Two sides... you also never mentioned that you had £400 spare... you just told me how skint you were at the moment! If I'd have known that then I'd have took the £400, posted out the unit and waited on the other £50. Sad you have to leave the site for such a minor thing. leonv
There could be two sides to this story, but I do think that as club members we should let people realize that if you con people you will be exposed, and it will not be tolerated. One of the pleasures of a forum is that there is a (gentlemans aggreement) to look out for each other, and get away from getting screwed by certain proposed (performance car specialists) . A forums purpose is the same interest, friendship, advise and parts others do not need and will usually cost you top doller

No need to go Sir! You're a real valued member of this site and you've got lots to offer by way of advice from your line of work - this wee issue is nothing to fall out over. Worse things happen at sea as they say so lets just leave this one eh! GS is a top bloke, as are you from what I've seen of your posts, and like anything in this life of ours, we're bound to have clashes and fall out from time to time. 'Two good guys' and I for one expect to see you both posting regularly on this forum. Cheers fella's, Andrew
flyin_scouseman
I've quickly read through a few posts Encore, and i personally have not had any time to get to know you(maybe like alot of other members here like kaori etc as mentioned), but you seem like i nice person and it's not worth letting something like this get you down Shit happens mate due to circumstance which is unavoidable. The way i see it is ya win some ya lose some. I'm the same mate.... always seem to get the shi**y end of the stick. Life is such. Hope you stay Andy.
