bondango
Emanage Blue is connected to the E01 with a USB cable. The emanage can then use the E01 boost sensor to reference boost. you can also use the E01 as an emanage programmer too. The external signal cable you mention allows you to log 5v devices with the E01 such as TPS, AFR from a wideband with 5V output signal etc etc
Homer
There are also detailed guides on http://www.mohdparts.com
JustGav
Yup, EMB connects via the USBstyle cable (Please note, it is not a USB interface so don't try connect a laptop directly to it). I'm currently using mine purely as a boost controller because it isn't compatible with the EMU as far as I know which is a shame.
Tricky-Ricky
The connection from EO-1 to blue emanage is an A-B USB available at any PC shop, its just the data cable that is a Greddy generic type which comes with the software, although there was someone doing clone cables
