Muffleman
Try A-Plan on 0845 071 1234, I was really unimpressed with Sky.
Pig
Sounds good to me, i have been quoted just shy of 3k before now by sky, 21 though.
supra650
sounds cheap have a few other mods like additional injectors, racing seats, suspension, gauges etc. but im 41 max no claims etc and sky wanted £1150 ish:( agreed value of 16k. they seem very inconsistant with their quotes. i went with keith michaels about £890:) with a better agreed valuation and still like for like replacement of parts. been with them for over two years now. Homer
30, no points, 13 yrs no claims, single turbo and Sky charged me over £1300. Really unimpressed as this is far more than they charge for any other singles.
supRo
I too reckon Sky could be doing better with their quotations especially as they are a specialist and the club insurer. This is the second year I've gone with someone else - same insurance benefits as sky but £500 cheaper! My insurance renewal with Lancaster was £785. I don't think they can cover Single Turbo Supras though
MR.B
Give Demon Tweeks a call (0845 365 2683) Got my quote in writing here for £842 That's with everything declared, like for like cover etc on my single.

What bhp did you tell them? TBH that price sounds good to me. Mine is £1050 per year and I'm 41 with 0 points and full NCB and 520bhp Same question to Homer: what BHP declared? Mine is £1050 per year and I'm 41 with 0 points and full NCB and 520bhp Same question to Homer: what BHP declared? But your car is worth twice what mine is! I declared 550bhp to be on the safe side, but was told it didn't matter much. All that mattered was the single turbo conversion. I didn't speak to Jae direct, only Michelle and another lady in sales. Wonder if it was because I called them a bunch of c*nts in a previous thread
supra matt
i told them around the 500 mark

TLicense
This has just got me thinking. How do you guys propose I go about describing my twin turbo installation to the insurers? (I'm with Sky by the way) I'll know an approximate figure once it's dynoed....
Jake
Just say "aftermarket turbos". They aren't interested in specifics. All my mods are listed like that
Muffleman
How limited? 3000 miles per annum, be lucky if I get anywhere near that. Blimey. Who's that with? A-Plan. When I insured the car, all I had was the mods list from Trial - so I sent them that. The sheet said 650bhp at 1.5bar.
JohnK
Just say "aftermarket turbos". They aren't interested in specifics. All my mods are listed like that So how will "like for like" get worked out if the worst was to happen? I have a huge distrust of insurance companies, I think if its all down in black and white it will be harder for them to stiff me.
