flukey-lukey
To be quite honest the XS power one would be fine on my T67, but it's a compromise on quality. What you go for really depends on your aim's, if you are happy with BPU then absolutely stick to the side mount, even a small single (T61/PHR stage 1) will be fine on something like the CW one. Bigger than that and it time to look for an fmic. aww but I like the look of FMIC's lol. I'm torn in two, I don't know what to go for edit: just seen your edit, if I went for the XS power FMIC, its not going to harm the car in any way is it? or make it less powerful? If you have a knackered stock IC and move to an fmic then you should see much better performance at the high end. There is a greater risk of overheating but in 30k miles over 3 years with an fmic and bpu I never had an issue (nothing, nada!). I have dyno plots that compare my bpu car with a average SMIC to it with a new FMIC and the difference was some 38rwhp at the top end. The only issue with some of the budget fmic's is they don't come with the pipework. For example, the Greddy 3inch pipework retaila around £400 alone! Make sure you budget for that. Sharpie
TBH I'd never heard of BL making an IC until now, but you can bet its going to be a good bit of kit. See here for more photo http://www.boostlogic.com/parts/supra/info_supra_T6FMIC.htm or http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4864711#post4864711 Not sure I like those end tanks......or is that just me ? http://www.boostlogic.com/images/parts/Supra/Supra_T6FMIC3.jpg
Homer
Crikey, those don't look too good do they? They have much larger area than the generic Chinese ones, but the flow across the core will not be good at all.

Yep my SMIC is absolutly shot to bits! But at the moment I can't afford to splash out £800+ for a top knotch FMIC, so the XS power one is what I was looking at. Should be fine for my needs. Thanks for your advice and answers to my questions Homer

Thanks for your advice and answers to my questions Homer No problems, but just be sure you factor in the pipe kit to your price. It will easily cost more than the fmic itself, plus you'll need new expansion take and possibly PAS pipe.

Nic
lol ok, I shall not bother then... *sigh* still on the lookout for a cheapish FMIC What cheap ebay make is yours then? Looked at the XS-Power ones for a similar price, are they any good? The ebay ones have a poor end tank design and use a cheap less efficient core. If you want a good cheap FMIC, I'd recommend the new GReddy Spec M, these are £370 including airmail to UK http://www.trust-power.com/04cooling/intercooler_M.html http://www.trust-power.com/04cooling/ph/ic_m.jpg
