Darren
UK rear calipers - How different are they from J-spec? Are they worth changing to? I've just fitted UK fronts.
ajazyasin
they are twin piston. J-spec are single floating i think.
paul mac
you will also need new disks as well
Chris Wilson
And to cut back the dirt shield. However, you NEED to change rear discs and calipers for a properly balanced UK conversion.
Ian C
Not that the rears do much. I've got CW fast road pads in and the rears look like they are going to just about outlast two sets of fronts. I wish I could get some bias back to the rear set but the only person I know who could do that deletes the bloody ABS in doing so -Ian
Chris Wilson
You could do what I did and make a proper twin master cylinder bias brake set uo. You could retain the ABS like this. Not sure if there would be room without deleting the servo, as I did on my Skyline ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv/Skyline_stuff/bias_brakes

Chris Wilson
No just back off the h/brake shoes before removing the rear discs, and reset the adjusters after you fit the new discs. Very straightforward IMO.

Chris Wilson
It need not abandon the ABS, my car was never fitted with ABS from new, but there's no reason dual master cylindrers won't work with ABS, AFAIK.
