Pete
Best software I found is Sony Vegas - but that depends on your view of piracy. Can you tell what file format they are out of your camera? MPG? MPG2? .MOV? AVI? DivX?
supragold
They were .mov I tried to convert them but my program kept crashing
JamieP
Piracy dont bother me, when i right click on it all it says is quicktime movie:)
Pete
I'm guessing moviemaker likes .avi, so you need a .mov to .avi converter that works. Not something I've had to do. There's a freeware one here - http://www.videohelp.com/mov2avi Try that or search for "mov to avi" in Google for loads more to try. [edit] actually I'm not sure how much that link helps as I can't find the tool it refers to.

Wez
Phones normally create 3GP movie files which are viewable in Quicktime. You will need to convert the file from 3GP to something else. EDIT: ignore this, clearly not reading the threads properly

Crap format. I agree that OS-X is a joy though.

Lucifer
I'm running Vista and OS-X on my DualCore...I still prefer OS-X. What do you think of Vista. I think its a great step in the right direction. Do you know the easy activation crack? IE CMD>DATE?
Pete
What do you think of Vista. I think its a great step in the right direction. Do you know the easy activation crack? IE CMD>DATE? We get it via MSDN so legal They're going to be very hot and make piracy really tricky for this one. Most people will just end up pi$$ed off and buy it I reckon. I think it's got some great features and people new to PCs will find it great. Takes some time for a pro to fathom out where things have been moved around to. The intermediate users from XP I think will find it quite alien and struggle to get to grips with things. I'll be happier once the hardware manufacturers have updated all their tools and drivers to a higher standard. Having said that my Asus P5W DH is quite happy and stable. It's ok if you've got new kit. Just hit a problem where I installed it using IDE compatible SATA mode...and now when I switch to AHCI it blue screens. Sussed it out now. Some people were saying it would require a reinstall..I just used a different controller after installing the latest drivers for it whilst running in standard mode. I'm found a few odd shareware titles that don't like the aero interface and when switching to compatible mode bomb out. Looking forward to DX10. I've not tried any games on it yet.
