Greystoke
Hi, The pully in the pic is not turning. I take it is the Air con pully. What could be causing it not to turn, while the engine is running. http://itvault.com/supra/DSC00406.JPG
geoffvalenti
You're right it is the aircon, but it'll only turn when the electromagnetic clutch is engaged. I know its insulting your intelligence but are you sure you've got the aircon switched on? If it is possible causes for it not kicking in are low gas in the system or maybe a relay. Without seeing it its difficult to diagnose. Unless you're talking about the car in the pic, and the reason it's not turning is because the timing belt isn't connected
Greystoke
I am getting a screeching sound like the belt is slipping. Thought that might have been causing it. No it’s not the engine in the pic.
geoffvalenti
Well if the belt is slipping, its not going to help. See if you can turn the inner part of the A/C pump by hand (with the engine off) it should move fairly easily, but they have been known to seize in the past
