supra_surj
No-one else sells the 6170, it was an example of a model that is branded by nokia but made by a different company.
supra_surj
Think this has gone abit off track. Babe, stick with it you will get used to it. But its all personal choice, if you really cant get on with it then take it back while you can. Good luck! hehe!

Must admit still surprised as Nokia always make a big deal out of how that's how they keep their costs down, all the phones are manufactured in their own factorys. supra_surj
Just like cars nowadays, body made in 1 place, engine in another. I do like the N series nokias, i think they are great but from experience they do tend to have probs here and there. Surj

Clarkey
people that make phones, sell them under their own brand but also sell to other companies to rebrand with their own logo/make. I just wanted to know who else sells the same phones as the 6170 or other nokias and under what brand? Which is exactly what Nokia & Vertu do. Charlotte
Mike has had one for a few months and has had nothing but problems. Despite being the top spec phone on the orange website they advise against buying it now if you ring because it has soooo many software faults. DaveK
mine does the same .. and bluetooth is ddefo switched off !!! Mine did it when I got it. From memory - I think it's the sleep mode setting (go to tools / settings / display settings). I've got mine switched off and the only reason I can think I did it was to stop the flashing light at night.

johnnyknox
There is a firmware upgrade out now for this phone. It makes it a bit quicker and stops that stupid memory full message when zooming in on images

DaveK
Don't you think that there is a certain irony that you have to disable sleep mode so that the light doesn't stop you going to sleep.....?

My last phone was the M2000 and i loved it. The only problems i had was it would crash about once a week. The only reason i don't use it now is because after it broke Ornage kept sending me refurbed units that were broken My Nokia N73 i really like now after discovering i can watch tv on it
