A car needs 500bhp to hit 200mph, which it would do at 7000RPM. It is irrelevant that it makes its peak power of 600hp at 6000rpm, as long as it is still making 500hp by 7000rpm. Make sense? At 6300 it's making less power- bhp is rate of work, if the rate of work goes down, speed also goes down, or in this case, goes no further. You guys are getting caught up in peak power stuff?
