Pete
My claim to fame... My secretary’s son is going out with the Stig's daughter. Kevin Spacey once waved at me. That's a far superior claim to fame I think.
RedM
Of course, this would only be true is Perry McCarthy was actually the Stig.

Daston
My great uncle implemented the Red and Yellow card system in football and after he passed away there is an american cup called the Ken Aston cup. Does that make me famous (the ironic thing is I cant stand football)
SimonB
Ha! You can't beat my claim to fame. I have Gordon the gopher's autograph from when I appeared on Going Live about 16 years ago, playing the trombone...
johnnyknox
Of course, this would only be true is Perry McCarthy was actually the Stig. I hear that The Stig is actually a number of different people. For example they have professional stunt people (wearing the Stig overalls and helmet) in whenever the stig does crazy stuff like launching himself off a cliff or whatever. I believe Perry does the driving around the test track.

RedM
Some car companies provide their own driver for the Power Laps. As for a claim to fame about Timmy Mallet. I was once in HMV Oxford St and told him that no, I didn't know who he was and he'd have to queue up behind me.
tbourner
It WAS Perry when he was black, now he's a whitey he changes depending on the situation (dangerous stunts like you say). There's still one main person who drives the track though, and we don't know who it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig

Shane
I can do better than any of these claims to fame.... Got to shake Kofi Anan's hand and saw Clare Short in the same day! Also saw Sonya Jackson from enders on a tube once and my Dad used to work for the council. All true. How famous does that make me eh... Or do I mean sad;)

Chris Wilson
My claim to fame... My secretary’s son is going out with the Stig's daughter. Out here in darkest Shropshire people allegedly go out with their own daughters.... How true this small gene pool malarkey is I couldn't possibly say, but their are some bleedin' ugly people with funny habits round these parts
