Nic
Does anyone have an engine wiring loom for a manual VVTi Supra going spare?
Pete
Do you need to specify auto or manual?
Nic
Do you need to specify auto or manual? I'm not sure yet Pete, looking at the EPC there are a lot of different part numbers. I need to work out which ones will be compatible and which I will actually need. Anyone got one available?
Jake
I've got one but it's from an auto (Tip of course). IIRC 2 (or is it 1?) of the gearbox connectors are different to the manual loom.
Jake
I'll take that as a "not interested" then shall I?
Nic
I'll take that as a "not interested" then shall I? Thanks Jake, I need to have a chat to my tuner to work out what I'm going to do and how much would be involved in the VVTi swap. Current thinking is it might be a lot easier to swap my head onto the VVTi engine, that is provided there isn't any damage to it. I'll give you a shout if I do need the loom. Jake
It would be a shame to miss the chance of having the excellent VVTi but if you do go that way I know of a certain Moderator from here that is looking for a Good Condition used VVTi head. Yes ideally I would like to run the VVTi head, from discussions I've had so far though, it seems the swap may be quite involved and I'm on a tight budget. My current head was rebuilt and tuned by CW with HKS cams, so it would be well suited to the kit, although it depends on what if any damage has been done. Cheers I've already talked to Ian re head and vmanage
Kopite
I was thinking of swapping a VVTI head for a non VVTI head, turned out it's quite a pig to do due to the differances at the end of the loom meaning the car needed rewiring. The bloke who did it once said he'd never do it again
