RedM
We currently use the, probably, very cheap filter that came with our router. I've been looking at this: http://www.adslnation.com/products/xf-1e.php http://broadbandzone.co.uk/shop/ADSL_Nation_XF-1e3076.htm Thoughts? SteamAhead
http://www.adslnation.com/products/xf-1e.php lol this filter in the daddy! get one and never worry about filters again! Since moving in to my house a year ago, the caller ID on our DECT phone doesn't work (which it did in our last place with broadband). I've had many descussions with BT on this but got no where, and yes caller ID is enabled before anyone asks Going by the description of that filter, could that help??? I never knew that you could buy a better spec filter, so was wondering if to give it a try (Sorry RedM for hijacking
Markie
Anyone tested this filter and one they had from ISP to see if there is actually a difference in connection speed and the download speeds on average please?
imi
best thing is to get the master socket + filter combo.

TBH I'm not entirely sure what to be looking for but I'll post up any observations. FWIW my IP have said that my sync rate is way below the FTR and needs progressing internally NOW! No shit! RedM
Pete, New posh microfilter has been in place for 60 hours. I have had only two 'loss of synchronisation' which happened within the first six hours. They did not cause a loss of connection. Router has been switched on constantly. Max stable rate has sat at 3000kbps for the entire time. It seems like a £10 filter albeit a quality one has done wonders.

Looks like I'll have to order a few of these babies in for just such a situation. Was it one of those in the above link? Thanks for the update! SteamAhead
For the sake of £10, I might invest in one this week. Jim
