Lebsteif
Nevermind, i;m just so stupid (sometimes) http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=69446 WTF, i have a 5 wire SLD and not a 4 wire version that has been described. Is there a difference between them? (got an extra bleu wire)
Nic
For a 96 manual NA you need the SLD Type I part number 4502-RA002 There are a number of different versions of the HKS SLD
Lebsteif
Good to know, thanks Nic. I checked directly the backside of the box and it says 4502-RA002 as well. Strange that i have 5 wires

bondango
I'm waiting on a type t6 SLD coming in for an Aristo 2jzgte as they have a problem with the TRAC system, i know one of the wires on it is destined for the Trac ECU. Maybe the type 1 had that option? if i find out any details il post them up.
Nic
It is the light blue wire that is the odd one, the others should be connected like this. Yellow - Speed sensor wire to ECU White - Speed Sensor wire to loom Black - Earth Red - 12V ignition feed Perhaps try connecting these 4 wires first and then test to see if works. Suup
Maby the blue one is made for a switch function. So you can switch the SLD on and off by using an external button or something like that??? Just like the antenna from a radio.
Chiefgroover
Dont think I used the blue one at all.
Guest biglipzit
So what about the wiring for the HKS SLD Type 2? Just got one and it has 12 wires. Don't have a clue as to what each one does. Any help? I have searched the forums and not one person has posted any wiring information for the HKS SLD type 2. If i only use the 4 wires will it work? or are things different on an automatic mkiv? bondango
http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/electronics/speed/sld_data.html From the looks of it, type II and T6 are for autos. Dunno if any of the HKS traders would be willing to scan the info for the european supplied parts.
