Wanted 16 bit PCMCIA ethernet card, like a 3com 3c589b/c

I've got a 3-Com 3C3FE575CT sat here - PM me your address and I'll bung it over, may need drivers for '98 but I believe these are available online.

A search shows this as a 32 bit, is that right? If so I need a 16 bit, but thanks a lot anyway Michael. If it IS a 16 bit card my address is:

Newbury House

Lower Heath

Shropshire

SY13 2BT

How much are you looking for?

Nothing, it's sat here doing bugger all and always will be...

That's very good of you, but I need to find out for sure if it's a 16 bit, the laptop is too old for a 32 bit one to work... I am pretty dure it's 32 bit, which is a shame!

If I have a good month I suppose I'll have to bite the bullet and buy a newer one, but I have other expenses like track days coming up, and can't afford to spend too much unnecessarily.

The easiest way to tell with the cards (and I only found about this recently) is to look at the card, if it has a gold strip near the connector it is 32 bit.

This would probably be why it won't fit into your laptop slot, but would fit the docking station. The laptop was trying to tell us something!!

Chris, did you get my email?

Yes, sorry, it got buried in an avalanche of post Xmas e-mails. That date should be OK, but I reserve the right to cancel in good time if things aren't going to plan, I have several big jobs on, and the ramp *MAY* be tied up if things go pear shaped.
