Sounds like a touch of sciatica. Some where along your spine, a disc/soft tissue is pressing on the spinal chord/sciatic nerve. The pain is felt in the legs. Initially it's an ache in one butt cheek then it as time goes on, you get pain down the back of your hamstrings and even as far as the calf. Am I right? It is treatable. There's a system I used by a New Zealander called Mackenzie (google it). He did this book. It does work. Trust me. I spent a fortune with osteopaths, chiropractors and shiatsu. Waste of money.

The McKenzie technique is one of the ones we use at work, it does work as long as you diagnose the problem correctly, if not it can cause more problems.

Koo, like has been said it could be something really simple like "Sciatica" but the xray wont show this. If the Xray comes back normal then you need to push for an MRI scan, they may be reluctant to do it but push for it (i personally dont think the xray will show anything tbh), and to get the type of pain you are experiencing, at your age, with no history of injury is "unusual". Dont let then write it off without investigating it further as it could be something nasty (dont start worrying though, just get the MRI if needed).

You're right. Accurate diagnosis is key. 13 years ago it use to take me 15 minutes to just get out of bed. The recovery/rehab took 6 months using the McKenzie system. Now with good back management I lead an active life salsa, climbing, cycling, running, sh4gging ...

You go to salsa and get to meat loads of luvverly ladies. Get good at it and they queue up to dance with you. The man leads. You are the MASTER and the girlies spin and swivel as you command them. Then take them home in yer Supe for an informal meating. :p :woot:  :whip: :kissass:

but what if i suggest an MRI and they say no?

and what could it be :( ?

Its probably nothing at all (and i mean that) but an MRI would be useful just to rule anything out. IF your GP says no to an MRI then ask to be referred to an Orthopaedic Consultant and ask them (tbh they may suggest it anyway, but if not ask them). They shouldnt say no but if they do just really push the case for having, explain how long youve had it, the fact its a constant pain thats worse at night, the fact youve lost a fair amount of weight recently and feel a bit run down. They should send you with that information. If they dont then ask for a second opinion.

You mean all the weight ive lost isnt down to me being good!?!?

:(

Had a really bad night last night but i noticed something, If i have constant hard pressure on one little point the pain goes for a bit, not long, but long enough for me to think "yay its all over!" lol

Also, it hurts more when im in a chair, and less when im in a car, is this because in the car your constantly moving? also same for Sh4agging :sex: :yahoo:
