MrHanky
Just found our rabbit Nismo dead in our borders Nismo had been roaming around happily in our garden for about 3 and a half years, but it looks as if something got him last night or this morning. He had often escaped but only went as far as the top of the close where he would chase cats Anyway I am going to go and put him amongst the trees in the field out back. The wifey said put him in the rubbish, but I cannot bring myself to just throw him in the bin. Mark

Ewen
Noooo, not bunged out with the rubbish....bury her / him with a bit of dignity, but make sure its deep..... One of our cats died years ago and I buried it in our garden. A couple of days later something had dug it up and it was gone. I almost had my wife believing it hadnt been dead after all, but had had a bout of catalepsy...woken up, dug itself out and effed off out of it. Chewie
Christ that's one hell of big bunny! He's almost as big as you. Anybody read The Sunday Times about Herman the German Giant rabbit. 7.7 kg (not lbs) and 1m tall. I vote state funeral burial or cremation. Wheelie bin is strictly for non-recyclables. ivan
Wheelie bin is strictly for non-recyclables.Since when have you been able to recycle bunnies?
Chewie
Only if he was carrying an organ donor card. That's why it's a state funeral option.
merckx
Poor thing. Anyway I am going to go and put him amongst the trees in the field out back. Just what I would do. Like Ewen said , bury it deep. I once buried a young fox that I found dead near a river, the ground was rock hard so I couldn't dig a deep hole. A few days later I found that another animal had dug it up.
bungy
Don't waste it, a couple of carrots, an onion and some potatoes, vegetable stock and 20 mins per pound.
merckx
I'm not sure if it's appropriate to be cracking jokes , it was his pet!!!!!!

Chewie
You may larf but I keep Japanese koi carp (keeping with the Japanese theme). Okay you can't cuddle them or take them for walks but you do get quite attached to them. Anyway one of them (a 15" long Kohaku) died back in summer. It got stressed out by a hungry heron that came every morning. And it died. And I cried. No wheelie bin and no burial. It was probably the most expensive fish dinner I've ever had. MrHanky
I'm not sure if it's appropriate to be cracking jokes , it was his pet!!!!!! Its ok. Thanks people. He was a big bunny and thats not me that he's next too, although if I did say it was then I could start a thread to say that I am the youngest Supra owner (as most young newbies seem to post the thread - 'How old are you?') Anyways I took him out to the field and put him amongst the trees. I didn't bury him for 2 reasons. A) something would have probably dug him up or the worms get him. B) If some animals want to eat him, then they can as this would happen had he been a proper free bunny. Not a nice thought, but thats the circle of life (dammit, that sounds like a film qoute). Anyway even though he was only here 3 1/2 to 4 years im glad that he spent almost all the time outside roaming around. I figure thats got to be better than 8 years in a frickin hutch RIP Nismo Thanks again people Mark

MrHanky
Sorry to hear this mate. Hope Tom's not too upset too! Cheers matey. Tom doesn't know yet. I think he will be ok about it. I will just tell him that he's gone for a very long sleep like Yoda does in Star Wars. See you tomorrow mate. Mark

KaoriFan
oh no. really sorry for your loss, he sure was a big one. R.I.P Nismo. always a sad time when you lose a pet, that is part of the family. I had our pet cat cremated at Cobham, and now he is still here, and has a small plaque. just couldn't think of leaving him in the garden when i move (hopefully to Japan)
how_supra
Poor Nismo, sorry to hear about this. At least he's bouncing around with all the other rabbits in the sky now.
Kip
Poor NISMO, bless. Bury him deep in a sunny place in the garden I'd put a nice plant on top of the site which would remind me of all the joy he gave.
