Alex
Your wastegate spring is buggered?
JamieP
Should i try and tighten the wastegate and see if that raises the boost or bad idea?
Alex
Is it actually an adjustable one or just one with the corrolating screw, that actually isn't connected to anything.
JamieP
The wastegate ia adjustable... i never use to have a boost controler.
Alex
Then I'd try that first...

JamieP
any chance it could be something else but not the spring ie loose hose ?? Checked all hoses and they seem fine... maybe the solenoid has packed in... only other thing is i wonder if it has anything to do with the TPS, as i know my boost is also controled by how far i put my foot down. Ian C
You could try turning up the boost (via the boost controller) a bit and seeing if it has an effect - if it doesn't then the problem would seem to lie with the EBC. -Ian

michel lane
what type of wastegate do you have ?? if its the ebay hks copy , then thats your problem. You should not have any problems with the solinode for the aem .
JamieP
Wastegate is a proper hks 50mm

Ian C
First time I've heard of having an inline filter in the boost control hoses I'm not saying you don't need one, I know the HKS BOV has one, but I don't know of anyone else running one for their EBC solenoid... Worth checking the solenoid though. -Ian
JamieP
I see, well there was one in the old pipework, when i changed to red pipework i didnt bother swaping it over.
