Konrad
I found this method to reset airbag light here on forum, connected cables to AB and TC and started to touch negative battery simulatounesly (spelling?). Airbag light is going off for like 1 second and then getting back to dissapear again when i touch battery with one of those cables. When should i actually stop touching battery? I'm doing it on ignition ON but engine is switched off. It looks like when i'm touching TC cable to battery, airbag is going off to get back when I'm touching AB cable. Any ideas or reccomendations? Konrad
Ye i've seen this article - so I have to alternate the two wires to the negative terminal of the battery untill light will go off for good despite me continuing this procedure? Is and airbag light going off when ignition is in ON position in properly set up car?

Konrad
Yes, but WHEN should I stop? When light will go off despite me still touching battery? Or is there any other signal, that I should stop?

VIL
Using the wires to put out the airbag light will work but its very difficult to do on your own. You really need someone looking at the light and someone doing the wires to get it right. I know what your asking, `how do you know when to stop`, cause the light will blink on and off when the wires are being touched. This is luck, timing and your mate going STOP at the right time! Basically they will see the light go out and stay out for a second longer than before and you need to stop immediately for it to take effect. Note, you need to keep trying! It does come down to a bit of luck, took me about 1/2 hour to get it right.
bodilx6
a toyota garage can fix it with some electronic gadget.. If you're lucky they will do it for a sixpack... I fixed mine also by pure luck. I tried to follow the various guide without luck. So when I finally gave up in frustration tapped the battery without any timing at all, the indicator went off and stayed off... I have no idea of how to do it again. I'll just never turn the car on with the dash unplugged again...

Mike M
Try and not turn the ignition on with the top dash panel disconnected and you won't need to reset it.
Thomas.B
Did this today and it worked like a charm, counted 1 sec inbetween, 8 times per side.
Supralee
Just used this trick with the wires, spot on and easy to do. Took about 5 mins, quickness was best, 8 repetitions on each side approx 1 sec apart worked.. nice one
