jamesmark Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 I would do it online right now, then surely (not sure as not done it) you will have a ref number for it. and if you get a £80 fine dated after you payed it online then surely you have something to come back on, but with DVLA I am sure that even 24 hours they will still slap a fine on you. R3DG3CKO ROB Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 You've got 14 days grace period (from the DVLA) before it needs to be off the road. The police will stop you if you don't have a valid tax disc displayed though but if you buy it online you get a reference number so it's completely legal. Renewing online was really easy and my tax disc turned up within 2 days!
