SimonR
Does anyone have any recomendations for custom exhaust fabricators in the south of england? I have a full 3" Tanabe system which I imported used from Oz for £500 a couple of years ago. It is mild steel though so after a couple of UK winters it's full of holes. I'm guessing that it would be cheaper to have someone reproduce the existing design and keep the existing cat and resonators than it would be to buy the same system new. Does anyone have experience in this area? I was also thinking of increasing to 3.5" or 4" diameter but I presume that I would then have to also replace my 3" downpipe and that could get expensive. Good exhausts for the Soarer are hard to find over here. There are plenty of noisy ones about but none with decent sized pipework. Your thoughts please. I took the car to them to check out and asked for a quote. They want £650+VAT for a 3 inch single pipe system plus backbox. This seems a bit steep to me. Should I expect to pay that much? SimonR
I went to see Turbofit on Saturday and they estimated a much better price. That is based on me supplying my own silencers. As it happens, I have a Supra Blitz Nur-Spec sitting in the corner so it seems to make sense to chop that up and use the bits for a custom jobbie for the Soarer. I don’t want to upset the neighbours though. I’ve checked out the threads on the Apexi ECV and also the Blitz baffle (http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/ProductItem-115.aspx). I’m leaning towards the Apexi. Some of the older threads say things like “I’m thinking of buying one of these”. Anyone done so? Impressions? NB It did occur to me to try to flog the Nur-Spec but it’s well used and has seen a few speed humps by the look of it.

SimonR
I have pretty much decided on an Apexi N1 with the ATS insert and maybe the ECV. I'm wondering whether to compliment this setup with another muffler in the mid section of the system but I've run into something of a brick wall as there really doesn't seem to be much discussion on this one. Searching the www seems to come up with Flowmaster and Borla and that's about it. What have other people done for extra mufflers, if anything?
