Kitt
Does anyone out there know where I can get my hands on a set of front shocks for my J-Spec 93 NA JZA80 ? I have a strange knocking at the front off-side and it only happens at low speed - been to my lovely Toyota dealer 3 times now and they can't find any problems and suggest best to replace the front shocks. Obviously I would have to re-mortgage to afford these direct from Toyota so I was wondering if anyone has any cheaper options ? I've currently got a set of new front sets and a Blitz NUR Spec R sat in the living room waiting for fitting so a cheap option would be greatly appreciated ! Gordon F
Have a look at this thread before you shell out on new dampers, it could be loose suspension bolts causing the noises.
Steve Cargill
Hi, do a search for "creak anymore" and have a good read and see if this helps. Those suspension bolts are often overlooked. Could well be shocks as the car is getting old, but worth double checking the bolts if the symptoms match.

Kitt
Thanks everyone for your useful advice - the car is off to the garage on Thursday for new seats so I'll ask for those little rascal's to be tightened up !! Cheers:)
Kitt
Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just been to Toyota today and actually watched them tighten the suspension bolts to the correct torque settings - the lovely people charged me £38 for this privalege and the "creaking" noise is still there !!!!!!! Can anyone offer any other advice as Toyota can only suggest that the offside front shock is knackered and needs replacing - not too worried about getting the shocks replaced as I can get them for £56 a piece, but I really need to know whether or not this will cure the damn creaking !! Please help !
