Pete
Nice. Hopefully they know what they're talking about too. I'll watch those tomorrow when I can give it my full attention.
Mike B
Good find Jamie! - are any bits in there you may have forgotten to do in your build having watched this? Very interesting for the mere mortal! I was surprised to hear them say that every other component in the stock bottom end is good for "a couple of hundered horsepower" makes you wonder if they know as much as they portray... Did you find a final vid of them running the car?
JamieP
Id say that couple hundred hp bit about the stock bottom end was tonge in cheek;) simlar bottom end to mine, billet main caps etc.
Homer
Sorry to do it Jamie, but it was discussed here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=91400 Half of what they said was bollox, and they only ended up with a BPU eqv. car. Okay, it needed some more work but whats the point in making a 1000bhp build up vid and stopping at 450 odd
JamieP
Cor your hard to please, well i enjoyed it but would have been nice for a last video seeing it tear up the track... i can see why they didnt do a last vid because they wanted everyone to buy the mag:)
Pot
Looking at the date on the last vid : Added December 29, 2006 I'm guessing it's a recent thing?... But regardless, I know they're after a 'bulletproof' 1000 bhp engine, but does it really need that much work?... (I bet they were gutted when they only got 500ish though, should have gone single...) But at least all of the parts are 'Super-Trick '
RobSheffield
I didnt watch the last 2 videos, what turbos did they fit?
Pot
Can't remember tbh, but I'm under the impression that the single gives more power, or are they after a 1ft Turbo, with a big 2nd, to reduce the lag?... As I thought the bottom end could handle 1000bhp??? So why the fuss about the pistons and piston rings, and all of the other waffle???... supragold
I liked it. It only made 500bhp because they hadn't run it in yet and hadn't set everything up. Who's gonna put a new build onto a dynopack and cain it without running it in???
Suprash
As I thought the bottom end could handle 1000bhp??? I take it your joking when you say that......

b_have
Excellent! Great find Jamie. Is 0.050" lift always used for dialing in the valve timing?
Guest dee_rz
There using two t3/t4 hybrids, i enjoyed the vids very much jamie 500bhp@ the wheels is not bad going at 10psi infact thats damn good i agree they would have made more power by going for a single but i think the point is that they want it to be a good all round car and more trackable as such from what i see 1g of lateral shouldn't be a problem with that set up infact i believe the stock car holds 0.98g lateral in stock form . Also think like someone else said the couple of hundred thing is very tonge in check imo, realiably the supra stock block can take 800bhp if looked after and tuned correctly but it can always be improved upon as both jamie and i and others have done when the chance arrives Good vids :)
steb9780
Very interesting watch. Especially if you're not clued up so much on engine building. Not a bad result though 500hp on 10 psi is it? I wouldn't mind my car doing that anyway.
supra dan
thats got to be every supra owners dream, build a money no object car from start to finish. excellent:drool: interesting they used arias pistons, wasnt someone asking about those? Guest dee_rz
Whats funny though is the fact that the whole build probably only costed about 10p as there in the u.s if only, damn english economy
Bobbeh
These guys know what they're talking about, you should read up about the car they've built that competes in the Time Attack series in the US. Tis a monster.
CardiffSupra
You think they would like to become traders on our site?
Bobbeh
Doubt it, they mainly build/tune cars not sell parts... so would be tricky working on cars that come from over here
cashpoint
There should be more on the finished car now as the video is over 3 years old.
