ManwithSupra
Im not to good with TC's but whats the benifit of this one over the stock one?
Terminator
A standard PI 3800 TC will handle 650+ BHP, easily exceeds the stock box limits of around 500. Higher stall speeds mean it will launch in a higher power band. It is stronger than the stock unit.

Dave222
Can anyone tell me:- Is this a straight swop for the stock item ? How would this affect day to day driving ? Do you need to do anything with the standard ECU ? Cheers Dave.

Yes Slightly more revs when pooling about, I did not mind running a 3800 stall No, you might want to wire up a lock-up switch to lock up the converter for cruising around to help keep the heat down. Dave222
Thanks for that but sorry to keep asking, what exactly does the "lock up"switch do ? Cheers.
Gamer
Controls a solenoid in the transmission to 'lock up' the torque converter to stop it from slipping and building up unnecessary heat. Forgot to add that it should not be enabled when using full power too often as it will put a strain on other parts in the box.
