Supra Steve 856 Posted December 29, 2006 Share Posted December 29, 2006 Hi guys, I have a jspec 1995 TT Auto and my rad has split on the plastic at the top by the filler cap, im after a straight swap replacement, i live in essex, i have the money waiting and if not to far am willing to drive and pick it up! It needs to be in good condition, as the last thing i want is for it to blow again 6 months down the line lol. Does anyone have one i can buy asap?? Good used ones are hard to find as they normally only get changed when they split like this. Have you tried Jezzybabes. He is a Supra breaker. I think his phone number is in his profile. Supra Steve 856 Posted December 29, 2006 Author Share Posted December 29, 2006 Thanks for the tip, At the moment ive tryed a fix using filberglass, i have made a patch that surounds the whole top of the rad where it has split, to reinforce the top of the rad, i found the presure was building up SO much it was just blowin off all other attempts... This kind of fix only lasts a month or two, as the water seeps out under the fiberglass, and i think this last time i have done this has now made it impossible to fix again as the surface is too damaged now for a bond. So its new rad time!! once it goes thats it, u wont fix it for long if you do manage it lol So if anyone can offer me a good deal on a new one then i got the money now to pay for it (as long as its not toooo much lol) Steve Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
