Ewen
Four out of five - can't be wrong Ewen Er, AVG then. Thanks guys....bought my son a mahoosive Dell for his car design course, on the understanding it was for 3-D graphics only, NO internet. Most of his other prezzies are PC games requiring'internet connection' so I stand no chance. Cant see why we cant get registered on another machine first then use the game on the big one ? Not easily. Im guessing they are games like Half life 2 and posibly some online games. You may will be able to crack them. Post up what games they were and ill tell you what can be done

Guest Geneb
AVG Free version does not scan all files thats why we sell the pro version but it still better than nothing. funny thing is people say AVG is the best and its free, it the best because it stops virus's and doesnt pop up with any notification of finding any..Reason being it dont detect em all thats why we have to keep charging people to remove virus's from there systems when they use AVG Free version. which is good for me cus we do about 9 a week of these and at £65 a pop HAPPY DAYS:d

Thorin
AVG Free version does not scan all files Yes it does. By default it only scans executables and other files that could contain viruses, but that's the same with pretty much any anti-virus software I've ever used. You can tell it to scan everything if you so wish.

Hes managed to set up a registration account from his laptop and use the info to play the game on the new PC. Sorted. As to sons course, he's doing Automotive Design MDes at coventry.
