jamesmark
Cheers guys for your comments, it don't go unnoticed. I am going to SORN it for a while and get her done up, get her a new rear end. I want to get it done in the coming year so that I can still have my NCD, infact I think my insurance is up about May time. I will plan on doing a few interior changes aswell, Alcantara will be one and it so happens that there is an old bath at the back of the shed so I may look at having a go at making the carpet black, and then a nice stereo as so far even a year down the line it still has not got one. Spend my money on her as so far she is my only bad habit. So here is to next year and what it brings.

Having read post 11 & 16 about the troubles youve had with your car (+ the link to the gigging thread) and then post 22 where you say that some of the issues are NOT FIXABLE. Based on that, is it wise to spend more money on the car if at the back of your mind it will always bug you that it isnt and cannot be the way you want it to be...... jamesmark
Stop playing with it. Just get out and drive it. Need to get an MOT on her, it has ran out as got my sis to check as documents are north of the border. Would rather have her correct and enjoy the drive mate than half enjoy it. Karma would be if mark had sold a shitter claiming it to be perfect and then accidently buying a shitter from someone else who claimed it was perfect. See? jamesmark
imi, I have not updated that thread on the progress and neither have posted about it, so my bad on that. The car is in need of a new rear subframe and hub to hub to make her right, I have had it rechecked and 2 guys have came back with same answer. I could get rid and sell her for 5k at a push and loose quite a lot as I have put a lot of work into that car so far RedM seen the car before I started on it and it was not in a good condition when I got her, did not know how much of a bad condition till I went to my first meet and Steve single pointed it out and then it all began, I can't and will not sell her for one reason I have a conscience and I could not hand the keys to someone knowing the heartache they are going to have when they find out what is wrong with it. michael
With the price of NAs and all the crashed cars around I'm sure you can pick up these parts easily enough when the time comes - they aren't bits that are in demand and getting big money. Mark, OK, so I take it that it still requires a lot of work to put it right. Can that be done or is it a bottom less pit? When you say sell it for 5K, I would have thought that the only reason you would see it for such a low price would be because of the issues with it - meaning, you would inform the buyer, right (hence the conscience bit doesn't come into it at all)? At the end of the day, if you can put it right (and can put up with the troubles along the way), then I'd go for that option, cause the amount of effort you have put into the car will eventually pay off.... Clarkey
James, if driving the car doesn't flick your switch in the way that it did - have a good think of what you want out of a car. Hopefully then, you'll have your answer. Now i know what Clarkey went through during his previous arguments with you! The guy is pond life Rob. He body-swerves just like someone one else. And unfortunately he keeps swimming back. Mores the pity.

If driving the car doesn't flick your switch in the way that it did - have a good think of what you want out of a car. Hopefully then, you'll have the answer. I have had a think about it mate, thats the easy part, I love the Supra just not that one, as the condition the rear is in. So going to get her rear end sorted and I will get her back and start enjoying. I was speaking to my mate today and all these rear end problems were there before I bought the car and got worse 10 fold when I thought I would get her fixed if only I left it how it was................bloody women. No I have had a few quotes flying around the dearest being at the £1k level, after that then yes she will be a bottomless pit as like everyone you will constantly buy things for her. See? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karma "Karma simply deals with what is. The effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others" It is commonly understood as a term to denote the entire cycle of cause and effect

Very true mate, I have had a few prices for a sf and hub to hub and all have been under £500, but it's the labour cost thats going to be more than the parts. Ahh Ok...so 1K later it will be put right. In which case, i'd bite the bullet and get that done. Not worth selling a car that you know very well (you've put a lot of things right) and buying another unknown and chancing it. Whatever you do, don't get it all fixed only to sell it in order to get a manual cause you cant be asked with an auto to manual conversion like another member on here

RedM
Imi, I still don't get your Karma reference. I know full well what Karma is but I think you've used it mistakenly in this case. Now let's draw a veil over all of this and move on to cheering Mark up.
