That's why I sold my car. It was sold within 4 weeks. I was getting bored of it. Time to move on.

Next car - will be a Raw Striker purely as a track-car and I'm tempted with a Hayabusa engine and box.

I really love the idea of the 6 speed sequential gearbox that would go with the Busa lump and that in can redline to 12k RPM.

But the bike engine has peak torque is 100 ft lbs at 7k RPM. And peak BHP of 160 at 10k RPM.

So, quite late in the rev range.

... :tempted:

Whereas the 4AGE engine which is as light as a fag packet.

Horsepower 112 bhp @ 6,600 rpm

Torque 97 ft lbs @ 4,800 rpm

Mark,

I know exactly how you feel. My dislike of the car stems from wanting to do so much for it aesthetically and yet only getting to replace part after part of worn shite that, while it may only need doing once, still costs a small fortune.

The Yorkshire roads are shite but my local wheel place do free tracking checks and I'm going to start popping in once a month.

I get fed up with the car on a 'one week on, one week off' basis but then I'll give her a wash and she'll look all shiny and get positive comments and I go a bit giddy.

In traffic she makes me proud. I look around at all the silver and black family boxes that you can't tell apart from one another and I think how happy I am that I'm in a bright pink red sportscar that'd leave all the others for dead while looking fabulous with it....

...if only that fucking Matiz would get out of the way.

For sure I've read them, but can't recall the problems.

Totally understand though, haven't been able to drive mine for 2 months, it really loses it's appeal when its not working properly. I actually enjoy driving a 'normal' car now, it's nice to able to drive it without thinking 'what was that noise' or worrying it'll get bumped in the supermarket carpark. Got an '06 Ford Fiesta 1.4 right now, it's shit, but I don't care :D

Would you go down the single route again?

Many people seem to have got the 'what was that noise?' syndrome after going down that road... :(

Too much hassle with too many variables to go worng...?

I go through phases like this sometimes. But I always come back round to loving the car shortly afterwards - I'm a petrolhead at heart and just love cars - no matter what they are.

Yep, I'm the same. My car has now done 980 miles since Feb 05 so I never really drive it. I spend ages away from the UK and when I'm back I always have something in pieces in the engine or interior or whatever!! It sounds funny but I too get frequently pissed off with my Supe but my enjoyment will come in a couple of weeks when its finished (and then Ill be away for 3-4 months again so won't see it) - so unfair!!:(

JM, you probably need to just get back out on the road, otherwise, it may be a case that your shelf life for Supe interest has expired and you need to move on.;)

As the title said I have lost all intrest in it, the car has sat in the drive for nearly 3 weeks now and I have no desire to drive it. Come the end of January I am going to declare it off the road.

Get away with ya man! I've not driven mine for close to 15 weeks now due to poor quality parts, and traders on here promising me things and then failing to supply after 5 weeks of chasing. I've also just spent over $1000 on it on parts from Dusty, and I have no thoughts of not enjoying it when I finally get it back.....

SORN it and store it out of the way. Buy a cheap 300ZX and within a month I can guarantee the supe will be taxed again :D

I know what you mean though. With mine I had a few electrical niggles left over from the previous owners gadget freakness on a budget. I put expensive seats in it, new tyres on it, changed all the oils in it and it just sat there for the majority of the year looking at me drive my diesel motor everywhere instead. When I added up the cost of 2000 miles motoring I almost cried and that was what made me sell it. I think I have never forgiven myself for that descision and have spent the time since trying to find an adequate replacement. I am hoping my next purchase will be the last one for a while as 4 cars in 2 years is just silly.

Oh maaaaan cheer up :jester: you have a Jap Uber Super car FFS

The car looks friggin gorgeous

If it has problems mate then that's a bit of a hinderance which nobody likes when things on their motors go tits up, but that's all part and parcel of having a performance motor(thank F**K it ain't a Ferrari :D ).

New years reselution:

Get car fixed

Get massive loan :p

Get some monster upgrades

Chin up mate :salute: and be proud to own that fine piece of Japanese Engineering

You didn't get it....thought it was fairly obvious

Slowing down in the old age eh... ;)

I can read what you put, but it makes no sense, and isnt relevant to the thread

I rather suspect old chap that you meant 'my name is Earl' in a sneaking sly underhand dig at Marks nature that you seem to think is that of a simpleton, when it is not, which is a bit out of line....

Its my job to take the piss out of Mark ;)
