Very true mate, I have had a few prices for a sf and hub to hub and all have been under £500, but it's the labour cost thats going to be more than the parts.

That's where the club spirit comes in fella, you find us all a nice warm garage to work in and supply coffee and I'm sure we can help you out with that side of things :)

I'm not even going to bother to rise or even return a comeback. Because of hijacking James's thread.

But I will close my comments on this - If I didn't dislike you that much and get some perverse amusement out of haranguing you ... I would think you are unworthly of my attention. Infact, I've said it before and I'll say it again - I wouldn't cross the street to piss your face even if you're teeth were on fire.

I'd be up for that. After all, what better job for a fat bloke than to hang off a power bar to loosen those seized bolts.

Dude, you know he is totally going to pick up on the fact that you should have put 'teeth were on fire'. ;)

Would you go down the single route again?

Many people seem to have got the 'what was that noise?' syndrome after going down that road... :(

Too much hassle with too many variables to go worng...?

Paul, I have realised this lately, leave things as standard as possible, as the more you change, the more things seem to go wrong. I have been toying with the idea of going single now for a while and to be honest Im not sure why I would be. There is still so much I wanna do to my car and if I leave the single then I always have a somethign to get the dream alive when I do get bored of her.

To others.....

My Hybrids I have just have had to get rebuilt due to bearing failures, and while I was at it I treated myself to a full polish and chrome and new hose kit, now that has restored the faith.

And there are still some other issues that Im trying to get sorted along the way, that dreaded creaking which we know think is a track rod end but havent been able to confirm this due to Xmas, and why the hell does one wheels sit an inch further inside the wheel arch then the other side. Only noticed it since putting the RH on.....wtf !!!!

Everybody pretty much knows the problems I've had with mine. In only 5 months of ownership, it's been keyed once badly, had a massive and expensive service, and then I crashed it on my first meet in August, I only bought her in July. Bill so far has been about £4.2k I think, plus I got a £14k loan to buy her and pay off other CC debts.

Do I care, no, have I lost my will and excitement at driving her, hell no, am I proud to own her every time I start her up? Hell yes. :)
