bromy
The missus took our pooch to the vets today for her checkup and came back in tears:( , she has a lump on her shoulder that has been there for around 3 weeks. The vets are going to remove it on 3rd Jan and send it away for tests, hope it is nothing serious as she is in pieces at the minute. She treats the dog better than me. jamesmark
My Alsation had this on her hip, it was removed and it was massive but it was only a sist thank goodness.
Sheefa
Ah mate, sorry to hear this and wishing you luck. Keep your and your missus' chins up. My dog (Bernese Mountain - attached) passed away last year unexpectantly from kidney failure. It was only diagnosed within 3 days of her dying as there were NO tell tail signs She also had a lump a while back on the bridge of her nose, but as James said, this was only a cist too! Sadly, we only just got this little blighter when 'B' passed away. A little nutty Tibetan. At least you've caught it early and she has every chance of a full recovery. All the best mate and don't let it dampen the Christmas! Greg
Paul
Hope she's OK mate. Loads of dogs get lumps and bumps, shows up alot more on shorter haired dogs. Most turn out to be nothing, my brother's labrador had a lump the size of your hand come up within a month or so on his side and had it removed only to find out it was a harmless fatty sist type thing:) I know it's easy to say don't worry but you're doing all the right things for her and that's all you can do until it's removed and tested so spoil her rotten in the meantime (the dog, not the missus ) Good luck with it all anyway mate, Paul
Guest mk47
Damn mate hope its nothing serious Hopefully shell be back and healthy again after the op. On a lighter note and hope it doesent cause any offence but this is how i read gregs post: Keep your missus' chins up.
Kranz
Hope its all ok mate. I lost my last dog 2 years ago..... but she was 16 and had a very good life. These things happen to dogs, especially the pure bred ones, but are mostly completely benign. The puppy is concerned for her:

Rob
Yeah, that'll be a cyst, our little papillon had a golf ball sized one on her neck and it turned out to be a cyst. Best of luck.

bromy
Well she had the lump cut away on wednesday so will find out next week the results. The scar is a lot bigger than we were expecting
Havard
She looks might fine mate!! Hope the results are ok. You'll be surprised how fast that scar disappears aswell mate. The hair grows back very quickly. My dogs have had similar scars in the past and they seemed oblivious to them.!! H.
