Homer
Is there supposed to be a difference in the injector collets between Jap and UK/US spec? See pics below. LeeT brought a spare one over today that was on his UK spec car, but looked completely different to the ones I had removed from my jspec ones. I reused the jspec collets on the US Power enterprise injectors I tried to install last week, however it looks like I should have used different ones with those injectors. Is it normal for the jspec to have these smaller collets? The rails are the same I believe so why the different size (It's not just thickness, but diameter)

Alex
I've only seen the size that you have on your injectors, I'd say that Lee's got some odd ones there lol They are Insulators according to the EPC. The O-Rings are the important bit as far as the fuel is concerned. The Insulators just cushion the injectors against the rail and stop any intake air getting to the fuel system. Supra ST Myster
if its any help i have a full brand new set of "O" rings from Toyota as i bought them for the set of UK 550s i am going to stick in, so if you are desperate you can have these and i can get another set as wont be doing mine for sometime yet, cant remember how much they were just for the bottom ones, but the full set cost me £60. PS the ones i have look very much like the UK spec ones in your middle picture

You're right they are insulators. I've made further checks and according to Toyota both the Jspec and UK spec have the same ones. I'm picking up a new set on Friday so will confirm then which they compare to. It also appears that the insulators are the same either end of the injector. Mine were different. That may explain why the car always had such loud injector ticking noises. if its any help i have a full brand new set of "O" rings from Toyota as i bought them for the set of UK 550s i am going to stick in, so if you are desperate you can have these and i can get another set as wont be doing mine for sometime yet, cant remember how much they were just for the bottom ones, but the full set cost me £60. PS the ones i have look very much like the UK spec ones in your middle picture Thanks Emin Jamiep/Turbofit were kind enough to supply a full set of o-rings free of charge (better give them back if they cost £60 ). However the Power enterprise injectors came with these pre-fitted. I've compared sizes and they are the same so no point in changing them.
