SIMON LC
Ok I am thinking of putting active front spoiler on my N/A.Am I right in thinking that all I need is the spoiler assembly and motor mechanism only?
Ric
there is 2 other brackets you will need, one for the motor support and a bracket for the other end support of the spoiler arm it'self
colsoop
You will need the button as well if you want it functional.

SIMON LC
Do I need the ECU as well? I thought it was just a case of powering the motor up off a relay via a switch.
Ric
no it requires an ECU to work
SIMON LC
Really?
Matt _Aero top_
That is correct i think its somewhere behind the radio , but not all the supras had it .
_Rob_
I think ive got an active spoiler ECU knocking about in the garage if you require one.
Guest Garfy
you can get it working without the ecu, I did (because I set fire to the ecu, lol) if you don't have the wiring loom for it don't bother trying its to complicated, but you can get it working manually with the standard switch, you just need two relays
hadyn
I can show you an active spoiler on mine Simon if you need to see how it works. The ECU engages the spoiler when you go over 55mph and then retracts it when you go below that speed. Thats all it does...
Ric
comes down at 60 and goes back up at 40, without the ecu nothing will work.
hadyn
lol as you're on a mission to debunk everyting I say carbon - the spoiler deploys at a real 55mph and an indicated on the speedo 60mph
Ric
just putting what i read on the forum...... and just correcting that it doesent go back up at 55mph :/ what wrong with this?
SIMON LC
Yeh I am not bothered about the speed related side of it.Just want it down 99.9% of the time and able to lift it for those lovely speed bumps that I encounter far too many times.I would guess that you send a positive and negative to the motor and then just reverse the polarities to spin it the other way and motor has a built in timer relay? Its not quite a simple as that, there are position switches as well, bear with me I will see if I can find the post of mine from about 6 months ago. The way mine is installed allows you to have full control over it, like you say, have it down most of the time and up for pesky speed bumps
