Charcoal cannister removal

Ok i tried the search but couldnt get a definite answer.

I want to remove my charcoal cannister because i think its making a noise.

I know I need to block off two hoses and keep the other one open (or put a little filter on it.)

My question is: from my picture (sorry its crap) which hoses do i block and which do i leave open?

And is there anything else i should be aware of as im planning to do it asap?

Thanks!

Its normal for it to make a noise, click the hot link in carbonangels post.

If you want to remove it:

1 & 3 - block off

2 reconnect to the 'drain' underneath the charcoal canister

It will smell of petrol from time to time since 2 is the vent from the petrol tank
