Matt H
Merry xmas all, Need to get 3 new tyres so went out to check the sizes so i could make some enquirers. Ive got 265/35ZR18 - 197Y on the rears which i think is ok, but when i got to the front, i had two different sizes for each side Dont know how that has happened but they each read; Drivers: 235/40 R18 - 91W Passengers: 245/40 ZR18 97w Im not to well up on tyre sizes so which one should i be going for? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Matt
bromy
I would think 235/40/ZR18

Ric
if you have 2 diffrent sizes like that on the front AFAIK its a mot failure. if your changing go for the widest as a rule i would think anything like 235/245 would be fine up front
Thorin
either both 235/40/18 or both 245/40/18 will be fine, you've gone one wider on the back than stock so going to 245 on the front might be an idea to keep the ratio the same. I temporarily had two different makes of tyre on the rear and thought handling was terrible... I would have thought two different sizes as well would be interesting! tbourner
I had 245/40 18s on mine, and 285/35 on the rear!! Probably want to get it done though, not very good having one tyre narrower (and slightly smaller) than the other!

Thorin
i thought standard size was 225 so one wider would actually be the 235? 235 front, 255 rear. SZ came with either 225 front, 245 rear, or even just 235's all round I think.
