Dave222
Last week started the car up and there is a rev related whining coming from the auto box area, I think?, checked the transmission oil and that appears to be OK. The other strange thing is it gets less audible as the engine warms up. It doesn't sound like the normal TURBO DEATH WHINE I've heard recordings of but any ideas out there, be gentle it is christmas you know. All suggestions gratefully recieved, cheers dave. Konrad
Crank pulley? I was asking about some strange noise in my which turned to be induction system sucking up air and most hits about whining noise which dissapear slightly when engine getting warmer was crank pulley needing much attention and fast change before it will make VERY big mess in engine! Dave222
Tried that already but I am almost sure the noise is from the auto box, would a low oil level gives this sympton, everthing seems to work ok ??
