Hi Guys,

Need your help please, just changed my car battery and tried to start the car, she starts but then cuts out after a few seconds even if I turn a/c on and give her some revs

Checked everything I can think of, any ideas?

Thanks,

Nick.

If you changed the battery you have done a reset and possibiliy / probably just lost its base idle settings,

Just try keep it running and take it for a drive it should re learn very quickly

We used to get this alot on the Ford Mondeos when i worked for Fords.

right guys it appears to be down to one of the fuel pump relays, the car starts fuel goes through then it cuts :(

now my problem is it's in an underground car park where I live in London, I need to get home to Leicester for christmas this friday and have no way of getting the car out of the car park....

When you say it starts, does it sound and feel OK but then die suddenly or is it rough sounding from the start?

If it's the former, it would sound like an immobiliser issue. Some of them will let a car run for a few secs before shutting the engine off.
