jamesmark
As the title says, it has come up wqith an auto update, but past experience of IE updates have meant uninstalling it. Is this any better?
Pig
I uninstalled it. It wouldnt let me go on hotmail or any paypal type sites. If it aint broke, dont fix it
Pixelfill
I've not noticed any adverse problems with my limited usage as yet Mike

Dr_Doom
I've had no problems with it & think it's loads better than 6. It's pretty cool how you can have lots of tabs open in one window instead of having multiple windows open... No paypal or hotmail problems for me... RedM
Firefox 2. 'She who must be obeyed' likes IE7 and we had no issues at all installing it or with site access. I liked the mini preview for tabs in IE7 and then found loads of plug-ins for Firefox that did just that.

Pabs
I'm using IE7, and not had any other problems - other than this one...: IE7 does NOT work on all router web interface pages!!!! I have a problem whereby i update some settings on my router, press save, and then the page times-out. I went out, bought a new router, and it did EXACTLY the same thing. I then used firefox/ie6 - and it worked fine!!!! Grrrr... cost me a new sodding router! Other than that, works fine. Work won't roll it out yet as its not compatible with all the web-front end applications we use.
jamesmark
I think I will give it a go and if not will uninstall it, no harm done. If I am not back in a while, tell my family I love them very much.
Ian W
I used this while down at my folks' over the weekend and found it awful. very slow and just a bit of a mess with the various toolbars etc but i suppose you could get used to those. i use a Mac normally running the standard Safari as my browser which i find really good. Pot
Firefox 2.0, with a slight adjustment so you can still hit Alt+S to submit a post on a message board... IE7 is terrible, steer well clear!...
imi
IE7 is fine - firefox 2 is much better. If you use IE then IE7 will be a fair improvement to the browsing experience.
jamesmark
Well I done it and I like the layout, it's nicer.
Pabs
IE7 is terrible, steer well clear!... I always think statements like that are a bit harsh... its not THAT bad, and its got some nice improvements over IE6... Lots of people like different features - i say try it and see what you think....
ivan
I wonder how long it'll be before other stuff doesn't work until you upgrade to IE7?

Fair enough, that was my opinion on IE, I was sceptical about FFox, and took a while to fully realise that I was using it more often than IE, and then I saw the light
Soop Dogg
Currently I'm switching between IE7, Firefox2 and Opera. My personal favourite is Opera - and it has the best track record for security over all formats of the other 2. Firefox is a close second, but as soon as I have it all set up just how I want it, I'll probably only use Opera.
jamesmark
So far so good, no issues with paypal or anything else, seems quick however I wish to use this word "YET"
sdavies
It has been "ok" for me so far - to be honest, you *could* use one of Jakes terms... "GO FOR IT!!!" lol... It hasn't done me any harm *twitch twitch*. I have to use it to test browser implementations against customer web applications... so far to be honest, it hasn't been too bad. Dr_Doom
I like it when you press F11 on IE7.. The whole screen turns into your webpage and all the menu bars dissapear!.. Looks cool! I'm guessing firefox probably does this as well though
