Jim_1979
Gonna get the car resprayed to Gunmetal/quicksilver colour instead of the pissy stock early silver colour. Curious how many people have removed the aerial and rear wiper? Was going to remove the aerial and get an electric one mounted on the inside of the rear glass. Also for anyone without a rear wiper, how do you find it in the rain? Not being able to see out the back and all that?? Cheers!
jamesmark
Cant answer tha arial one but with the wiper it does look nice, I was going to remove mine but the thing that stopped me is the fact of not seeing out the rear window, my rear washer does not work and thats bad enough. Jake
I wouldn't do either. I had my car resprayed, debadged and de-aerial'd back in 2003 but the loss of the aerial was a mistake TBH. The aerial in the rear screen just doesn't cut it.
Jim_1979
Not even a glass mounted electronic aerial?

TBH - I can't really see anything it is a blur, but not enough to bother me (Anyone behind me's usually going slower, and blue lights show up better than with a clear window ), it may be down to the fact I don't clean my car as much as I really should, or that it's just bad, maybe buying some of that stuff that makes 'the rain run off' what ever it is would help?... But (Apart from the motor still sticking up) it does look a lot nicer...
Guest blueangel
i have neither on mine and it makes the rear end look alot more upto date especially seeing as the stock ariel is as old as the hills.
Jim_1979
The main reason I wanna get rid of the rear wiper is because the base part has a VERY tiny little amount of rust on it. I could remove it, rub it down... spray it etc. But tbh I can't be arsed!... lol.

Jim_1979
the rust is on the wiper arm bit... but yeah.. I get what your saying. The bodyshop would be doing the removing/filling/painting anyway. Would get done when I get it reaprayed. So not that much hassle... well, for me. markjodrell
I nearly brought a Gun metal coloured f/lift, I think its a great "modern" looking colour on a Supra
Jim_1979
yeah.... miles better than the older silver colour (like mine!)
supRo
Get the bootlid all flush! When you're moving and it rains, it's not too bad. If I'm just about to get into the car and there are lots of droplets on the rear window, I give it a quick go with the rubber/foam side of a Ice scraper. My rear window has a limo tint too. I can't see anything anyway! lol
Jim_1979
cool.... I want mine like that, but with a great whacking TRD spoiler on there...
jamesmark
No spoiler the car looks a dream without it, when you get it done before they attach the spoiler get them to show it without!!! Come away from the shopping trolley look. lol

supRo
Just to let you know Jim, my bodyshop spot welded the Tailgate holes rather than use filler. Not sure it that's better for the job?

Im having some holes done on my boot (after market spoiler, now removed) my bodyshop said they have to be welded as filler will eventually just fall out
