robert_gray
Hi, Just a quicky as im not sure on how engines work that well. I have a tt jap soop with a stainless 3" exhaust. earlier this afternoon the weld that hel the mid section of the pipe onto the flange bracket decided it didnt want to be together anymore. Im gonna be able to get it fixed but will it do any damage to the engine?
CardiffSupra
Depends where the exhaust has broke. If there are no cats left in your turbos will over boost. Any pics mate?
robert_gray
i can get some. Where abouts is the first cat placed? The flange that it has broke away from in situated in the middle fo the car.
R Black
The cats are at the front on the downpipe, so if the break is heading towards halfway down the car, your safe, as for overboosting if your not sure dont boot it and you should be ok
