Seb
Just been playing around with some figures, and something seems amiss. Basically, the most I've got out of a tank is, lets say optimistically 300 miles. Now, with a 20 gallon tank, or thereabouts, that works out at 15mpg. Please tell me my sums are out... Fair play the lowest setting on my boost controller is 0.6/1bar, and I have a full decat, but it still seems at least 5mpg out. I don't mind, I'm quite happy pouring money into the Soop, but it seems like maybe I'm running rich or something. Any ideas? Seb
LeeT
i dont think its got anywhere near a 20 gallon tank has it?
Seb
UKs have got an 80 litre tank, which works out at roughly 20 gallons. Seb

Manic
You think thats bad, my N/A at the mo has about a 1/6 of a tank left and I've done 207km according to tripmeter. Matt
Seb
Yeah, I guess it's only ever 60 litres, which then becomes acceptable fuel economy. 207km? That is bad Manic. Seb
Keith C
80 litres is 17.6 gallons - not 20. Also, you work out fuel economy by filling all the way up and resetting the trip counter, driving around until you need to fill up, filling all the way up again , and dividing the mileage covered by the amount of petrol put in on the 2nd fill up. For comparison I once put 75 litres into my UK...
Seb
Alright, so my maths is shite. Btw Keith, there isn't a copyright on your sig is there? I fancy getting a t-shirt with it on made up. Seb
Jake
I work out my MPG by the method Keith mentioned. I used to get fractionally over 20MPG before decatting and slightly less now. A full tank of *gasp* 89p/Litre Optimax costs £57ish and keeps me going for 260 to 280 miles of mainly motorway use. Non-motorway use is MUCH worse, I reckon I average about 10MPG around town at weekends
Ian C
Bonkers fuel consumption is usually down to a knackered O2 sensor. -Ian
ChrisR
In the two years i have owned my Supe I seriously have never worked mine out, i dont think i dare! I imagine i only get 20 mpg at best. I guess high twentys can be achieved on motorways. I mean how can you stay off the boost, it practically eggs you to nail it everywhere
ChrisR
Just a thought....... .... i wonder if the title of this thread was in the sales brochure anywhere......
Keith C
No copyright I know of - make away I got 31mpg once.
Ian R
I get about 18 mpg as my Mrs keeps pointing out .........
Chase
Getting about 16.5 mpg...
attilauk
i regularly get about 24-26 mpg out of mine, its actually got better since i've fitted my RSR:blink: i've put 75 litres in it before too
Patrick_Devlin
I usually get about 21-22mpg on my daily drive. Its a mix of town driving and fairly clear A roads. Not too bad. On a motor way run I can push that upto 27ish!!! Thats driving at 70-75mph... Before I had the decat I used to do a fair amount of motorway miles, and whilst it was bloody boring, I used to do alot at 60-65mph. Then I could push the economy upto 32-33mpg. Those were the days
Steve W2
I've just done Birmingham and back and got 310 miles out of a tank. Thats with driving at around 100mph most of that time. I was personally pretty impressed with that.

damouk
i usually get 19, but driving reasonably carefully i got 22 out of the last tank, uktt full decat and nur spec
Thorin
I usually get around 17mpg mostly pottering around town, I've had mid 20's on long motorway trips I think, don't usually bother to work it out. One thing I can say is that fuel consumption is not that good at 180mph
AndyG
Recent trip of 400 miles, steady 90 (including foot to the floor from 70 to 90 plus to get past/shock those lane hogging slow *******) gave 23.4mpg on my N/A Avg about town is 21 mpg.
