Cost for fitting 4 tyres?

Thats quite steep, was that at a Kiwk Fit place?

My local tyre center only charges about £20 to do that, but they've since refused to fit tyres supplied by a customer.

Yes I thought it quite steep, some local kwik fit type place yeah, I blame mcanny he recommended them and I never bothered finding out how much it would cost first. I've seen places quoting £11-12 quid per tyre (still steep compared to your £20) but then I've been places before where they've had trouble with the wheels being so wide.

sounds about right to me. i remember paying £15 a tyre to get my F1's fitted a few months ago.

I think the type of wheel you have them fitted too can influence the price due to the machinery used in fitting, some of the deep dish wheels are more fiddly to fit than the stock alloys. Has anyone else noticed a difference there?

That's the first I've heard of, the machines I've seen shouldn't have any problem regardless of dish size with how they clamp.... my current wheels do have a deep dish though and I didn't actually stay and watch this time.

There are different machines out there, the simple type with the crowbar effect levering off the tyre, then there are the more complicated ones with all the pedals than can work the tyre off from both ends. Ibrar knows what Im talking about (or trying to). :)

I know what your talking about Rob;)

I charge between £7.50 to £10 including balancing.

I paid £9/wheel for a pair recently at my local tyre fitters. That was fitted and balanced and disposal of the old tyres.

They do like to ask where I got the tyres from and how much I paid, then always proceed to tell me that they are only budget tyres (these were Toyo T1-S's) and they could have got me similar budget tyres for the same price and would have fitted and balanced them for free!

As said before though, it might be cheaper to get a price from your local depot, as the all in price might be better or the same anyway with less hassle.
