SkyJawa
I went to look at some Skylines at Keighly as they had a few all at the same site. They were all complete dogs, tatty bodywork, holes in the dash, badly aligned bumpers etc..... Not worth the trip.
captainchaos
Thank god i read this before i went down, fair enough the prices do sound good but by the sounds of it the quality of trhe cars is pants.
JohnA
I had a friend buy a Skyline from them a month ago, it was a dog big time, took it back, exchanged it for another one at £1K loss, that one blew up a couple of days later. He's currently struggling to get some money back. He was warned not to go there, but the lure of 'low' prices was stronger. Oh well... DBR
Hi, my first post. Basically I'm buying a Supra, and I've noticed that imports are said to be 280bhp as standard, with the UK spec ones being 326bhp. Now 46bhp is quite a difference, but is it really 280bhp for import TTs, or do they just claim that because of the marketing laws in Japan? I'm getting sick of trying to find a UK spec manual, so I was thinking of buying an import and spending the money I'd save on the extra insurance, and doin the brakes up, with the possibility of adding RLTC too. Any help appreciated. i think if its a manual your after jap is probly the way to go, uk manuals are a hasle to find... there were a few nocking around a cuople of months back but they had high mileage (i think one was on 120k the other 140).....an d weres till asking £9 or 10k, and if you do come across one with low mileage expect to pay a HIGH price for it!! they dont come cheap!.... anythin' over £11-12k ish, i believe someone on this forum bought a low mileage uk manual for 14k not so long ago... as for the insurance i found there is a massive difference between the japs an uk's, i got quoted £2600 for jap (alot wouldn't even insure me on jap) and 1080 for uk good luck with the find though m8.... be patient
