Terminator
I use the club insurer Sky. When I told them that I had several sets of wheels including stock and deepdish 18's, for use at different times of the year, all they wanted to know was what wheels they were. It made very little difference to the premium less than £20 IIRC. With the agreed value, at least I will get the money back if some nicks my 18"
miko_supra
some companies that i tried calling wanted to put up the insurance by nearly £500 for a few cosmetic jobs and they wouldnt even be covered. They argued back and said "can i ask why you would want to change the wheels?"

rovervi
I'm with Elephant and new wheels they werent interested in as in most cases she said it was usually cheaper for them to replace someones aftermarket wheels compared to OE stock wheels They were only interested in Air filters etc which again didn't effect my policy at all, She said they just like to have a list of mods thats all. I was charged more and told they will only be replaced with OE wheels if they ever get knackered
tbourner
IMO anyone recommending these clowns is seriously misinformed and should be formally warned. In no way should any members here be recommended to use companies like admiral, elephant, tesco's etc to insure their pride and joy. I recommend Tesco, insured with them for about 3 years, including the 2 years I had the Supe, they dealt with my claim really well, everything (from them) was fast and efficient, I didn't have to do anything (except chase the stupid bodyshop!!), replaced like for like, official Veilside front replaced with another official front (hence the long wait for it to be shipped!!!), couldn't have asked for it to be dealt with any better. hadyn
Im currently with Tescos. Cheapest quote by far (well apart from Lancaster, but I will never ever use them again after what they tried to do to me..)
blitz supra
I recommend Tesco, insured with them for about 3 years, including the 2 years I had the Supe, they dealt with my claim really well, everything (from them) was fast and efficient, I didn't have to do anything (except chase the stupid bodyshop!!), replaced like for like, official Veilside front replaced with another official front (hence the long wait for it to be shipped!!!), couldn't have asked for it to be dealt with any better. Same here with Elephant, i've been with them for 6 years and with all my imports, Before that Tesco which i found to be akward and generally inexperienced and uninformed regarding imports and offer you a low cost policy for the first year and then hike it up the next year with no reasonable explanation A few other friends have been with Elephant too and have received 100% service and like for like parts replaced "no quibble" Most insurance Companys only insure your car for market price anyway and that applies to brand new cars too Agreed value policies are usually only by specialist compnies and you pay the premium for that, At the end of the day depends how much money you've throw at your car (which you never get back) Its worth choosing your insurance in relation to your investment in your car, my friend with a Skyline has invested 70k into his car, he's 42 agreed value of £50k 5000mls only road use and pays £2.5k insurance, Regarding being offered £2.5k for a car you simply don't accept it. as did a friend he got paid out what he insured it for.. come on they always try it on .. blitz supra
Blitz Supra always seems to have a 'different' experience to everyone else on this board Not sure what you mean by that comment mate??? But having been in the import scene and circles and clubs for years and years you find out different things thats all ... doesn't make any of us experts, but this is what a club(s) is for to share info. Its not different to "everyone esles" views just a few ..
