mad_supra_21
I have a RZ Auto TT, and off the traffic lights tonight on my own i left footed the brake and gave it about 2000rmp with the right foot, not a brillant start but if i gave it more revvs it would have been, is this a good idea or does it do damage to things? Experienced standing start racers opions please:cool
Syed Shah
If you hold it like that for longer than a couple of seconds, it will as it seriously heats up the trans fluid, and stresses the gearbox itself. So don't do it too often.
Aerotop Dave
mad_supra_21, you gotta use the search button more matey - there's over 2 years worth of discussions to search on here and you'll often find useful info if you search first.

As Syed said, don't let it rev like that for more than a second or two, otherwise you'll quickly overheat the transmission fluid and do some serious damage to the box. Willson
I thought this was how you did a burnout in an auto ? Or is that only with an uprated box ?
