MarkR
Hi all Does anyone know the difference between the HKS F-CON V ECU and the HKS F-CON V Pro? I bought a HKS F-CON V ECU off ebay and was wondering if i'd made a good choice. Cheers Mark
Gamer
The V pro is the newer model. You might have some issues getting that mapped as it is the older model and some places might not want to touch it. You are also limited in the number of places that actually map Fcon's. Last count there was only about 5 or 6 places that map them.

Cheers Mark This is true, I had one fitted to my skyline and TDI motorsport in Lakeside Thurrock mapped it as they are an F Con Dealer, Turbo fit also map these (for less as well i am sure)
MarkR
TDI fitted my boost controller, so i might take it back there to get mapped... it's only 10 minutes from the office

Robbie
I dont think The f-con V will be able to control any of that 'vvti.trickery on your car. You'll need the newer one (pro version 3.2+) for that.
foodfreak
It doesn't, with the VVTi it's best to use the F-Con as a piggyback & let the stock ECU handle the VVTi I have John
MarkR
Does anyone know if this version can be password protected? I'm hoping it's not. Is there a way to unlock it if it is?
