jeremyh
Hi all, I am currently rolling on a set of 3-spoke Volk Advans wheels, and after the car has been making horrendous sounding noises from the drivers' side of the car, I need to know how to remove the wheel nuts from these alloy wheels. From what I can see, the studs used are tapered, and I have not received the socket from the previous owner. The garage could not remove the wheels either. Can anyone please please tell me what socket and size I need to remove these wheels? Jez

Rayman
Are they like an allen key type fitment? 5 or 6 sides?
Jake
Volk Advans? Isn't that two different makes of wheel? A photo might help.
jeremyh
Wheels look similar to this: http://www.tsall.com/upload/board/aaP1010901.JPG They are not an allen-key fitment as such, they look more like regular stud bolts as you'd find on most cars, but they are tapered, hence the garage I took the car to today had no way of removing the wheels. Is there anybody who specifically owns the same make of wheels?
LuxobargeTT
Couldn't reply in the other thread....... A long thin walled socket will get those off---Hi Q (slightly ironic maybe) probably only had a impact socket which have a think wall. HTH
