Mas
you need to take the older one out, get a THOR one and you can fit it in 15 mins as they come with a very clear user instraction

Steviekid
Any idea where the old one would be . i know this is abit of a long shot . Does your car speedo read in MPH? Does the odo count up in miles?
SteveR
Matt, whereabouts are you? I may be able to take a look for you when I'm up in Sheffield for Christmas/New Year.
Jim_1979
the old one will most probably be wired in either behind the odometer or behind the speedo clocks. Probably just a little black box with 4 or so wires coming out of it.

Matt _Aero top_
Does your car speedo read in MPH? Does the odo count up in miles? Yes it reads in miles and yes it reads in mph
Steviekid
Yes it reads in miles and yes it reads in mph Then as Jim says, it will be wired in to the back of the speedo and odo units and should be pretty obvious. If it's a full delimiter as well (rather than a delimiter that just moves the limit to 180mph) then there'll be a wire running to the ECU in the footwell too. Matt _Aero top_
ECU ? which footwell ?
Steviekid
ECU ? which footwell ? Passenger side. Lift the carpet and it's under a plastic cover.

Steviekid
Whats this ecu is it the engines main one ? Yeah. You can see which wire it will be spliced into here
Matt _Aero top_
so the yellow wires the delimiter ?
Angarak
Not all delimiters have a wire going to ECU, the 2 I've seen (not Thor ones) were wired into the loom behind the dials.
Steviekid
so the yellow wires the delimiter ? It is on the thor one. The diagram shows the outputs from the ECU though so whatever colour the wire from the delimiter is, it would have to be spliced into the wire leaving the ECU from pin 2. So i'll look for pin number 2 and trace it back to see if owts spliced in . Cheers fellas . Pin 2 on the ECU? It looks like this matey. Puill back the passenger carpet from the front of the car towards the seat, take the 2 nuts off that hold the big black plastic ECU cover in place (at the bottom of the cover), and you'll see something like this...
